The race for the District 3 Commission seat is now over for many of us.
Congratulations are now in order to Mrs. Young for her resounding
victory and her right to govern and represent us for another four years
assuming she prevails against her republican and no party opponent in
November. I wish her God’s blessing and the strength and wisdom to make
all the right decisions.

Over the last 5 months I have visited over 4,000 homes in the District
and personally discussed the issues of the campaign with several
thousand voters. With few exceptions most of you were cordial and showed
appreciation for hearing first hand from a candidate. I especially wish
to thank the several hundred who did take the effort to get to the polls
and give me your vote. My only regret is not being able to motivate more
to make the same effort.

Over the campaign trail I had the opportunity to meet the other
candidates in this race as well as others races and to those who like
myself did not win the prize I am grateful to you for being willing to
offer yourself as a candidate, put your personal life on hold and put in
the hard work necessary to be a candidate, so that we have a functioning
democratic process.

To those of you who gave me your support by donations, encouragement,
your vote or just your best wishes and good luck, I thank you sincerely
from the bottom of my heart.

In closing , Timothy says it best,

“I have
fought the good fight, I have
finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
